In line with the Trust’s Strategic Plan, we have spent some time in 2019/20 reviewing governance with an independent consultant. As a result, we have made some amendments to the structure and there is now the opportunity for two parents to join the Trust Board.
The Trust is the legal entity for all schools and parent trustees will join the existing Board to fulfil the three core functions of governance: Establishing strategic direction, Ensuring accountability, Ensuring financial probity. All meetings are virtual at present and a number of different committees operate, with the addition of a Sustainability Committee which will be established in the Spring Term 2021.

Local Boards are also attached to each school and meetings will begin, remotely, towards the end of November, 2020. Arrangements have been tailored to meet the needs of individual schools and further information can be found through the link below:
The Trust has both Local Advisory Boards and Local Improvement Boards in place for the academic year 2020/21. If you are interested in becoming more involved in the work of a school, please complete an application form and we will contact you as, and when, places become available. Please note that membership of Local Boards is open to the local and wider community; you do not have to be a parent/carer at the school to apply and the Trust welcomes interest from community stakeholders.
