Pastoral Support Worker

We are seeking two caring, resilient and highly motivated Pastoral Support Workers (non-teaching role) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and personal development.

Working closely with Leaders of Learning, pastoral staff, teachers, families and external agencies, you will provide day-to-day support for students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will build positive relationships with students, act as a trusted role model and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment.

The role involves supporting behaviour management, monitoring attendance and punctuality, responding to incidents and helping students manage social, emotional and behavioural challenges. You will maintain a visible presence around the school, carry out learning walks, support safeguarding procedures and work collaboratively with staff to ensure students receive the support they need.

You will also liaise with parents and carers, maintain accurate records, contribute to meetings and work with external agencies where appropriate. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational ability and the confidence to remain calm in challenging situations are essential.
